Welcome to one and all

Hey there! This post may contain affiliate links. If you click on a link, I may earn a small commission at no cost to you. I am an Ultra Lab Tests affiliate because I use and love the service they provide. Thank you for your support!

I want to extend a warm welcome to all the newcomers to our 30 day Sugar Free Challenge. This is the fourth year that I have done sugar free January and I can’t tell you how many benefits that I get from it. My hope is that you see the same results. And, of course, I fully believe that the best way to move forward in our health journeys is to surround ourselves with like-minded people who can support and encourage each other when things get hard and we want to fold like a cheap tent!

Clearly I am biased when it comes to the beauty of a group but I promise you that everyone participating is in your corner so please do not hesitate to reach out.

Nuts and Bolts

Now to the nitty gritty of getting primed for success. If you haven’t already ordered The 30-Day Sugar Elimination Diet by Brenda Bennett and you intend to, I would do that today.

The book is not required. I am more than happy to help any of your that for whatever reason are not interested in making extra purchases. I get it. As I type this, I have a plumber tearing out bricks to repair a broken pipe in the outside wall. 🙁

For those of you that have the book, let’s get down to making this as easy as possible.

I picked this particular book because she offers a keto and a low carb track. The low carb lifestyle definitely fits with what makes me feel good but each person is different so I really appreciate that she includes options.

The 30 days of menus reflect more of a keto approach so I will be adding in some additional sides that we can discuss at our first get together.

Last year we were not able to get together and we all thought that that was one of the things that we missed the most so I hope that we are able to do that weekly this go round.

I don’t want to make this too long and drawn out which it probably already is so let’s move on to homework.

Brenda includes a lot of information in the book and it can be a bit overwhelming therefore here is the breakdown I would suggest:

Thursday, 29th

Read “What is the 30-Day Sugar Elimination Diet” pages 14-28

Friday, 30th

Read “Days 1-7” pages 48-57

Saturday, 30th

Purge your pantry of temptations. Finalize your shopping list.

Sunday, 31st

Shop and prep for the first week.

I hope that you are as excited as I am to get started. Cheers to your health!!

Melissa
